Return of the Doctor: The Threat Revealed

"Doctor--"
"Twilight, we can't talk! We'll loose the silver rat!"
"But--"
"Hurry!"
Twilight, The Doctor, Rose, River Song, and Captain Jack Harkness ran through what appeared to be an empty hospital hallway.
Just around the corner, there was a flash of silver.
"Hurry, we're losing it!"
Everyone rounded the corner, and the Doctor sighed in relief.
A mechanical silver rat was repeatedly bumping into the TARDIS.
"That was close!" He turned to Captain Jack, and gave a curt nod. "Jack."
Jack nodded back, though he was smiling. "Doctor."
Rose frowned in confusion. "I-I don't understand. What did the silver rat do?"
"It was an anti-illusionary cyber-rat. This entire planet is full of illusions and traps, but when followed the rat, it formed a temporary path free of illusions. It only worked it we saw it though."
Twilight nodded. "Yes, it had the same feel of the anti-illusionary spell."
The Doctor patted the blue wood and smiled fondly. "Hello, girl. Miss me?"
He opened the door, and let the sight of machinery, switches, and glowing spheres welcome him.
"Ahhh, TARDIS sweet TARDIS."
Twilight walked in and admired the interior. "What does TARDIS stand for?"
The Doctor waited for everyone to walk in, and he closed the door. "Time And Relative Dimension In Space."
"Ah." Twilight said.
"Well, now that we're back safely in the TARDIS, I have a question. What got Twilight. It wasn't the Vashta Nerada. It just doesn't break off like it did. And why did it explode? It shou--"
"Doctor. Does it matter? We're all safe in here." Said River Song with an amused shake of her head.
"But I'm never ganna figure it out! I hate it when that happens...it's no fun."
Everyone looked at the Doctor.
"What?" He asked.
"Nothing," Twilight said.
"WELL, it's about time we should take Twilight home!" Rose said, grinning widely.
"R-right. Right, yeah."


"Your Highness, Twilight's friends are here."
"Thank you, Flash Sentry," Princess Cadence said, nodding her head.
Rarity, Applejack, Pinkiepie, Fluttershy, and Rainbowdash ran in.
"Princess Cadence! We need your help!"
Soon, everypony began to talk at once, pressing in, eyes wide.
Well, Rarity was checking out her reflection in a crystal pillar.
"Guys, what's gong on?! Where's my sister?"
"Twilight--"
"Gone!"
"Two shadows!"
"Blue box!"
"Don't know--"
"When she'll--"
"Be back!"
"We need--"
"Your help!!!"
"Girls! I need you to slow down, calm down, and sit down!"
Everypony stopped in their tracks, and slowly sat down.
"Now--slowly-- tell me what happened to Twilight."
One by one, Twilight's friends told Princess Cadence what happened.
Slowly, Princess Cadence stood from her crystal throne and paced the room.
"This isn't good. We need Princess Luna and Celestia...even all of us might not be enough. We need--"
She was interrupted by a breeze blowing in the crystal throne room, and a whirring noise.
Soon, a blue box materialized in the center of the room, and opened.
Twilight galloped out, and ran into Cadence's arms.
"I missed you so much!" When Twilight was released from the embrace, she turned serious, and said, "I have something important to tell you. A dangerous threat is threatening the whole world, possibly the universe. It'll make Nightmare moon seem like a harmless bunny."
"Oh my!" breathed Fluttershy.
"I don't know what the threat is, but I know that it is very, very, very bad. I think that the Doctor knows, but--"
"Who's the Doctor?" Asked Cadence.
"Help." The Doctor walked out, along with Rose Tyler, River Song, and Captain Jack.
Twilight was so used to them being human, that for a second she was puzzled by her friends's shocked reactions.
"Who in the hay are you? Better question, WHAT in the hay are you?!"
The Doctor scratched behind his ear, and said, "Yeeeaaahhh, this is going to take a lot of explaining."
"Twilight can do a memory transfer to all of them," suggested River Song.
"I'll try," said Twilight uncertainly.
Her horn lit, and six glowing spheres shot out of Twilight's horn, into her friends and sister-in-law.
They took a staggering step back, eyes squeezed shut.
When they opened their eyes, Twilight's recent experiences swam in their eyes.
They all blinked several times and rubbed their heads.
"Oh darling, that must've been terribly frightening! Are you all right?" Rarity asked.
"I'm fine, just really concerned." Twilight said, grateful for her friend's concern.
All I really want is a nap...
Pinkiepie kept giggling and pointing at Rose, who was giggling and pointing back.
"Heeheehee, you look funny!"
"Pfft! I'm standing next to Pinkiepie!"
Rarity blinked at River Song in admiration. "Darling, I absolutely adore your mane! How do you get it to look like that?"
River laughed, and said, "Well, it helps to have an incredible husband!" she said, gesturing to the Doctor, who was discussing plans to Princess Cadence.
"Oh my, he's your husband!" gasped Rarity.
"Well, not yet."
"You're engaged?"
"Err, in a way."
"Ohh congratulations, darling!"
Fluttershy and Rainbowdash were looking at the TARDIS curiously.
Flutershy nudged the light on the top and it blinked.
She squealed in surprise, and ran inside the TARDIS.
She was silent for a moment, than ran out, gasping, "It's bigger in the inside! It's bigger in the inside!"
"Ooo, I wanna see!" Pinkiepie squeaked, bouncing inside.
"Me too," said Rainbowdash suspiciously.
"As do I!" said Rarity.
"What in tarnation?" asked Applejack.
Fluttershy watched in horror as her friends strolled inside happily.
"This is awfully suspicious, don't you think?" asked Rainbowdash, glaring at the switches and flips.
"Oooo, what does this one do?" Pinkiepie squealed, pushing a button.
Ketchup squirted in her face, and Pinkiepie licked it up, giggling, while Rarity watched in disgust.
"Do ya reckon this thing is safe?" Applejack asked, nudging the wall with her hind hoof.
Fluttershy flew to the Doctor, and poked him on the shoulder.
"Um, excuse me, Mr. Doctor, um, my friends--"
The Doctor looked up from his conversation, and exclaimed, "Ahh! Get out! Careful in there!"
"Awww!" Pinkiepie was covered in ketchup, head to tail.
"Pinkiepie, that is absolutely revolting!" Gasped Rarity.
Everypony left the TARDIS, disappointed.
Princess Cadence looked worried.
"I need to tell my husband," she said solemnly.
The Doctor nodded grimly.
Suddenly, Applejack cocked her head.
"Do ya guys hear that?"
"I don't he--oh yeah. What is it?" asked Rainbowdash
"It sounds like--" Fluttershy said.
"Drums..." Princess Cadence finished.
The Doctor's eyes widened, and he turned pale.
"No...oh no no no...I was hoping...no No NO!"
He slammed his fist on the wall.
"This can't be happening!"
"Doctor, what is it?" asked River.
"He's back..."
